SUSTAINABILITY

At Phum Khmer Lodge, sustainability is not a trend — it is a way of life. Rooted in Khmer heritage and surrounded by nature, our lodge is thoughtfully designed to respect the environment, celebrate local culture, and support the community that makes this place special.

Built with Purpose and Respect for Nature

Our traditional Khmer houses are constructed using reclaimed wood and materials from old Cambodian homes, giving new life to valuable resources while reducing the need for new timber. This approach helps preserve forests and keeps the spirit of Khmer architecture alive.

Designed in harmony with the natural landscape, our stilted houses allow airflow and minimize environmental impact while offering guests an authentic Cambodian village experience.

Preserving Khmer Culture and Heritage

Every detail at Phum Khmer Lodge reflects Cambodia’s rich cultural identity — from architectural design to handcrafted décor. By preserving traditional building techniques and village aesthetics, we contribute to the protection of Khmer heritage for future generations.

Supporting Local Communities

We proudly support the local economy by working with local artisans, suppliers, and staff from nearby communities. Many of our furnishings, decorations, and services are sourced locally, ensuring that tourism benefits are shared with the people who call this place home.
