Its 6 private villas are designed to resemble traditional tilted wooden cottages.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Chan Heng is the owner and primary architect of each home. He has a deep appreciation for classic Khmer architecture and has been saving wood from demolished homes whose owners prefer more modern designs (built from stone). He has visited every province in Cambodia in search of the perfect Khmer home, and to study the regional variations in Khmer design and construction. It took about 6 years and 28 recycled wooden homes to complete all 6 of these Phum Khmer dwellings.
